FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can attend the UGM?

In order to attend Orion UGM you must be a licensed client in good standing, who has directly purchased from Orion Law Management Systems, Inc. or one of its affiliates. Consultants, vendors, and other partners of Orion are eligible to attend by exclusive invitation only. Orion reserves the right to deny registration for any reason. Sessions are designed to inform and educate our clients and participation is limited to clients only.

Who should attend the UGM?

The Orion UGM can be a useful learning opportunity for almost everyone at your firm. Historically many of our attendees include CFO’s, Firm Administrators, Marketing Directors, Billing Managers, Accounting Managers, Managing Partners and other similar roles.

What do I receive as part of my conference registration fee?

Breakfast and lunch are included each day, along with a ticket to the exclusive Client Appreciation Dinner event on Monday evening. You will also receive snacks and beverages throughout the day along with an official Orion swag bag and internet access in the conference room space. Each attendee will be given a conference book that contains materials, handouts and copies of every presentation. This conference book will prove to be a coveted resource for many years to come.

I have to ask for approval to attend. Can you help?

Yes. We have created a Justification Letter for our potential attendees to use in their efforts to gain approval to attend. This is in PDF form so you can copy and paste it into an email or other document. If you have any further questions, email us at [email protected].

Do I need to register for individual sessions?

No, there is no need to pre-select individual sessions. The Orion UGM is designed to be flexible and gives you the opportunity to change your conference track or breakout session topic as you wish.

How often does the UGM occur?

We typically hold the Orion UGM every 2-3 years. With the announcement of an exciting new location, we expect this one to be our biggest and best ever. You won’t want to miss it.

What time does the conference begin and end?

The Orion UGM begins on Monday morning with a kick-off keynote speaker. We provide breakfast beforehand and time for you to get checked-in and receive your conference materials. Monday and Tuesday the conference will wrap up before dinner, with lunch and snacks provided in-between. The Orion UGM will end on Wednesday around lunch time, we have an exciting opportunity for all attendees taking place at this time so schedule your travel plans accordingly. The official agenda with exact session times will be available on this website upon completion.

What is the conference dresscode?

We want you to be comfortable. Business casual attire is appropriate for all functions. You may also wish to bring a sweater or jacket (meeting rooms are often a little cool). As long as you are comfortable, we are happy.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

While the Omni does not offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, the hotel is located only 12 miles from the airport and there are quite a few transportation options available. Taxi service is flat-fee approximately $30 each way. Public transpiration is available via MARTA for approximately $2.50 each way. Take the train north to the Five Points Station, then board the westbound train for 1 stop to CNN/GWCC Station. Take the escalator or elevator up and you can walk through the CNN Building to the hotel entrance. Mobile transportation applications such as Uber and Lyft can also be used to get to the conference site. If you chose to rent a car, the hotel offers on-site paid self-parking and valet.

Where do I check-in?

Conference check-in will occur Monday morning prior to the keynote session, outside of the elevators on the Atrium level of the Omni Hotel.

How do I pay for the UGM?

Once we receive your registration request form, Orion will invoice you directly for payment.

Can I share UGM information with someone outside of my firm?

Clients understand and agree that certain information furnished to you by Orion in connection with the Orion UGM, regardless of the form in which such information is presented, is confidential, non-public, and/or proprietary information and is the sole property of Orion. You agree not to disclose confidential information to any third party, and to protect these materials using the same degree of care you use to protect your confidential information.

Additional attendees from the same firm will receive a $200.00 discount on registration.

All cancellations must be received in writing. A complete refund of registration fees (minus a 15% administrative fee) will be issued if the request is received by July 30, 2016. No refunds will be made after July 30, 2016; however, replacements for registrants may be made at any time without penalty.
